"what is spo2?" and its related...

SpO2 is an estimate of arterial oxygen saturation, or SaO2, which refers to the amount of oxygenated haemoglobin in the blood.

 detail

 Measurement methods
The traditional method of measuring oxygen saturation is to be human blood , blood gas analyzer re-use electrochemical analysis , measuring blood oxygen partial pressure PO2 calculate the oxygen saturation. This method is cumbersome and can not be continuously monitored

Using a fingertip photoelectric sensor , measurement , simply set the sensor on a human finger , a finger as a transparent container containing hemoglobin using red and near -infrared wavelength of 660 nm, 940 nm of the incident light as a light source , measured by the intensity of the light conducting tissue bed to calculate the concentration of hemoglobin and oxygen saturation, the instrument can show the body oxygen saturation , for clinical provides a continuous non-invasive blood oxygen measuring instruments

Generally considered normal SpO2 should not be less than 94% , 94 % or less of oxygen deficiency

Hypoxic hazards
Hypoxia has a huge impact on the body . For example, the impact on the CNS, liver and kidney function
Hypoxia and homeostasis in patients with the disease itself may have a significant impact on the environment within the patient
